Ep. 634 – Pop’n TwinBee

Pop’n TwinBee is a series we didn’t really get here in the states BUT thanks to the Nintendo Switch Online service, we finally get a shot at one of MANY games. You know there is something about the game when we skip over intro stories and roll right into the game talk

Speed Racer was probably a big first dip into anime for a lot of people.
Nintendo chose to market the NES to boys.
They did some kawaii stuff early on like Kirby.
Yoshi’s Island was pretty damn kawaii too.
Japanese work culture is pretty awful.
Neither Tyler nor Dave have played a Halo game.

Ep. 632 – Earth Defense Force

Earth Defense Force. Those forces that defend the Earth. Are they Super or not? Since this game is also called Super Earth Defense Force. Well, we will break that down along with a lot of other subjects. Ian has quite the story about a dog and it’s owner in his neighborhood. Tyler has strong feelings about Venom 2. We all love Spider Man and are worried about it’s future. We take a quiz. Lots of good stuff here, sit awhile and listen.

Ep. 609 – Pocky & Rocky

Pocky & Rocky! Just a short 575 episodes after we covered the sequel we’re back to talk about the original. Of course we had to bring on our foremost Pocky & Rockiologist: CHOCTOPUS (y’know from YouTube)! We talk about anime movies, Goosebumps books, expensive chairs, SNES Randomizers, Ready Player One, and plenty more. Ep. 553 – Super Scope

“Pour the silver!” Dave shouted at Tyler. Tyler quickly poured the molten silver into the pentagram mold while chanting the opera scene from Final Fantasy VI backward. “Light our candles at my signal.” Tyler said, he and Dave, nodding to each other. “Now.” Tyler flatly said, as he and Dave lit their replica of the candles Rita Repulsa used to take away the Green Ranger’s powers. “It is finished, The Randomizer is sealed…for now.” Dave said with an exhausted smile. NOW LET’S TALK ABOUT THE SUPER SCOPE! We were given a great gift by Usurper Grimm with a boxed Super Scope. So we have to talk about the Super Scope and it’s packed-in game Super Scope 6. But we do try a hot sauce, talk about port-a-potty problems and delve into some childhood memories. Enjoy!

The Randomizer mumbled something at us. “What? Speak, beast.” Dave commanded. “urosmif” the Randomizer grumbled lazily. “TELL US THE GAME!” Tyler shouted. The Randomizer grinned, “Aerosmith.” Tyler and Dave knew that was no game. “REVOLUTION X!” The Randomizer sang in its best Steven Tyler impression. That’s right! Remember that arcade game?
