Rival Turf! We have finally arrived at the last (it’s the first chronologically but the last for us to do) in the Rushing Beat Series. Thanks to Nintendo bringing literally anything Jaleco makes, at whatever discount the license comes at, to the Nintendo Switch Online platform. We have to talk about the movie Prey and many things about the Predator movies. Ian continues with journey into the dark realm of anime, Dave gives us a look into the WB Multiverse game, and Tyler discusses his streaming. And we talk quite a bit about Rival Turf!, what we think about it, and how is compares to the games it tries to emulate. So why not come sit awhile and listen to three old guys talk about an old game. Rival Turf!
Congo’s Caper! Now ya’ll, this is certainly a chonker of an episode, mainly due to one factor – the reunion of TADPOG I.T. with Jon Turley! We talk about Ian’s new obsessions, anime and simulated power washing. We talk about some new television, new game releases, a few new movies and probably too deep of a dive into Congo’s Caper. How does this compare to Joe & Mac? What’s it’s relation to that game? Come sit awhile, listen, and find out. You can have a little Congo’s Caper as a treat.
Super Baseball Simulator 1.000, so is that a thousand? one? I’m sure baseballers would know but that certainly isn’t Tyler, Dave, or Ian. We survived Thanksgiving, managed to make it through Black Friday, and even play this game to bring its wonderful content to you. We talk about the holidays and our experiences with it in the past, a bit about this game, some calls, some quizzes, some in-depth discussion of baked goods, and plenty of other tangents.
Super Soccer! You knew it was coming so here it is, another glorious TADPOG sports episode. BUT we do have plenty of banter and take plenty of calls. We do actually have some opinions about this game so we have that going for us, which is nice. There is quite a run down of all the knock offs of Dr. Pepper. We get some amazing chips to try on the show. So please give us a chance to impress you with mediocrity, we would appreciate it.
As we play through all of these SNES games, have you wondered if we would find a truly valuable hidden gem? Well, this is it. Wild Guns. Tyler, Dave, and Ian were all surprised by the quality of this game. So there is actually a lot of game talk but plenty of talk about horror games, dog tracking, Lost, Dexter, audio memes, and a great quiz.
Super Valis IV! You love this long running series on the SNES! Wait, you didn’t play the other three? They weren’t on SNES? They were much deeper PC games? Well, what does that makes this game? COME SIT AWHILE AND LISTEN while we delve into the good things and the bad things of the this PC port for the Super Nintendo. Tyler, Dave, and Ian talk Halloween, how amazing the products from Apes in Capes and Khris Vaughn are, and so much more.
Natsume Championship Wrestling! We know you’ve been waiting for a long time for us to cover another wrestling game, so here is the most requested one! No, not seriously. No one knows this one, no one asked for this one, this is no one’s favorite. Except maybe someone over at Nintendo who put this on the Switch Online service. So Tyler, Dave, and Ian play this game – one person succeeds in it and the other two fail miserably. So come place bets on who does what (we know it won’t be hard).
Pop’n TwinBee is a series we didn’t really get here in the states BUT thanks to the Nintendo Switch Online service, we finally get a shot at one of MANY games. You know there is something about the game when we skip over intro stories and roll right into the game talk
