King of Dragons! The Randomizer won’t let you down, even when COVID and work related events will! We had to postpone the newest episode of The Scott Pilgrim game so we fell back on what the Randomizer chose after Tecmo Super Bowl – King of Dragons. It’s more medieval madness in the vein as Knights of the Round and Golden Axe. We do a deep dive as we all actually played this game together (Thank you, Nintendo Switch Online). But before that we talk about Death Note, how not to run a pizza place, and we take a fun psychological quiz – make sure to grab a pencil and paper so you can play along, it’s fun. Stop rolling your eyes, Dane. It’s fun. You’ll see.
Tecmo Super Bowl is finally here, after we annoucned it a few months ago. Why is it finally here? That’s because Covid finally arrived in the Holland household. So we bring back the true Randomizer and knock out all three Tecmo Super Bowl games for the SNES. Due to all the covid, we have to all be remote so just bear with us – we hope to be back in person next week in person with a new episode of the Scott Pilgrim game OR another gem gifted to us by the Randomizer. We talk what games we have been playing, some movies, and then do a deep dive into these games. We also take a jumbo quiz. Are you a fan of the Scott Pilgrim Game D&D sessions? If so, let’s see how you stack up against Ian and Dave when it’s quiz time! Tecmo Super Bowl!
Ep. 667 – Double D and the Cake Boys vs. The World – Session Ten (A D&D Actual Play) That show art is pretty ominous, right? You should probably listen to find out what it is about. This is a pretty important episode, jam packed with all sorts of goodies. The band had just arrived at the Bellagio and must find a way up to Dane Dawnstar’s penthouse. What could Dane have to tell them about him being a boy in Jzadirune? Why was he in this picture? What does he know about Kenny’s mom? Oh believe me, all this and way more are answered in this episode. Things also get out of control VERY quickly when a powerful magical artifact is introduced to the band. We hope you enjoy! The Randomizer x Wikipedia Ii, our final tribute to the dark lord of chaos, on this – the all hallow’s eve of our devlishly decadent mark of the beast episode – BEHOLD! TADPOG EPISODE 666! Is that enough adjectives for it? We had another unfortunate brush with COVID so we pushed back the Scott Pilgrim game for everyone’s safety. Therefore, BEHOLD! We fall down a Wikipedia rabbit hole and turn it into semi-interview questions. It works in a pinch! Enjoy! The Randomizer x Wikipedia
P3 vs. The World – Session Nine (A D&D Actual Play) is here at last after our long remote recorded break. Our brave band heroes now sit in the Irvin Cobb hotel, having just summoned in some much needed support. So please come hear about how that help adjusts to life in 2000 Paducah, KY. Maybe a trip to Wal-Mart. Even a little adventure to Steak N’ Shake. Lem and Kenny have a special meeting that goes wrong and the group enters the Subspace Highway for their longest journey yet. Some come sit awhile and listen to the tales of P3 vs. The World – Session Nine (A D&D Actual Play) !
The Randomizer x Wikipedia is what we have to offer today. With the team still on the mend post COVID, we wanted to mix it up a bit and re-summon the Ol’ Randomizer but put it into something different than an SNES. This time we conjured the dark chaotic god of our own making and funneled it into Wikipedia. The result is a bizarre “Better know a host” quiz that goes all over the board. So we are remote, so things may sound a little different than usual again. We had a little bit of game talk, a lot of quiz, and just general hang-out. We hope you enjoy our little departure before we back to the standard stuff.
TADPOG’s Favorite Videogame Characters of All-Time.
Well, one of us was finally bitten by the pandemic zombie. Because of this, we bring you REMOTE SHOW SHENANIGANS! We didn’t really have the time or energy because of COVID to dig into the Tecmo series that we had previously drawn from the Randomizer. So Dave had a great idea where we each decide on our top 5 favorite video game characters, compare and discuss them. It turned out to be an even better episode than we expected, so please come and enjoy! TADPOG’s Favorite Videogame Characters of All-Time turned out to be very different for all of each of us expected the others to have. Who do you think each of us would have for our Top 5?
#4 The Arby’s Gabagool vs. The World – Session Eight (A D&D Actual Play), we are hoping you’ve seen enough Sopranos and maybe The Office to understand the importance of Gabagool. We know you understand the importance of Arby’s. We hope you enjoy the further adventures of the band. Benji can’t find anything wrong in his apartment. Kenny tells Lem what Earl told him about Lem’s family. Lem returns home to find things quite different than when he left them. Liz returns to her mother’s house to quite a brutal surprise. Jill comes out to party with the band and totally ends up shining a light on everything. Things end up getting pretty ghostly as The Irvin Cobb Hotel. We get a brief glimpse of the mysterious guest host and a retired bear. Please, come sit awhile and listen!
