Nigel Mansell’s World Championship Racing FINALLY comes to TADPOG. We know all the Mansellheads have been chomping at your bits for us to finally get to this 1992 classic and not a single one of the show hosts had ever heard about. BUT FIRST, we have to talk about Herman’s Head and Murphy Brown – things all the kids are talking about now. We also sprinkle in some Dresden Files, The King in Yellow, and Red Rising talk on the old TADPOG Book Nook. We visit Anime I? Discuss the latest 2008 happenings on the Jersey Shore, and more. But we get DEEP into Nigel Mansell. You’ll have to listen. Won’t you some sit awhile and do just that?

Ep. 876 – Freefall ’95 (PC)

Play

Freefall ’95, since it’s ’95 that totally makes it retro, right? Even if the actual game is like a week old. Sure, that makes sense to me. We can run with it. So we have a LOT of Jungle Jim’s treats to try out. Mostly good. We also spend quite a bit of time in the TADPOG book nook talking about The Dresden Files, He Who Fights with Monsters, The Witcher, Red Rising, Watership Down, and The King in Yellow. Diverse tastes we TADPOG boys have. Spider Noir? We talk about it. The Backrooms movie? We talk about it. Freefall ’95? Yes, we do get to it and do as deep a dive as possible into an aerial Groundhog Day game. So, won’t you come sit awhile and listen?

Well. Here it is. The game you’ve all been waiting for us to cover.,,Steel Talons! You know it’s a serious game because the “O” in the game’s logo is a targeting reticle. It’s a game so important to the SNES library that Tyler dipped out and we got Bubba Drewski on as third mic to weigh in on this true gaming classic. Dare I say “hidden gem” for the SEO? You bet your ass I will. Hidden Gem alert! Hidden Gem alert!

Any views or opinions represented in this intro are Dave’s and belong solely to Dave and may not represent the views of TADPOG.

Spider-Man! That’s right, Phil Spiderman, hits TADPOG shores. We’ve done Maximum Carnage, is this game similar? NO? Is that a bad thing? Listen and find out! You can probably guess. But just to clear everything up, we brought on our foremost Spidermanologist, Sandwich Pope Phil! Before we get started, we have to visit TADPOG Book Nook with Ian finishing up Ghost Story from The Dresden Files, Tyler starts the latest The Primal Hunter, and Phil gets into The Icewind Dale Trilogy. Dave gets up to some games with Henry, we talk about video game movies and games are are better than this one. Won’t you stay awhile and listen?

Mina the Hollower digs it’s way over to TADPOG shores – it has to be something special in order to break out SNES streak with a new release. Some please come sit awhile and listen to us review this retro style game for Steam. Tyler went to Jungle Jim’s and returned with a bevy of treats, so we bring on Chocochica to try them out with us. So plenty of sampling, LOTS of TADPOG Book Nook going on with Ian reaching a pivotal point in the Dresden Files and Tyler finishing a few books too. But Mina is the start of the show here, so join us in the chat – wont’ you? Mina the Hollower!
