Ep. 769 – Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein

Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein is the latest in our SNES movie games series. So we dragged out the 1994 film alongside the game to get the full experience. Aaaand it was all quite the experience. This definitely falls into that category of, “Did the movie really need to be translated into a game?” So if you’re a fan of the film, we do quite a dive into it. If you haven’t played the game – who do you think you would control in it? If you’re a fan of anything Frankenstein, please come sit awhile and listen!

Ep. 651 – Nosferatu

Nosferatu SNES

Nosferatu makes it’s ghoulish, nightmarish, lycanthropic, vampiric, mummified, and downright fiendish debut on our show. Was it worth the work that Tyler’s brother, Ryan, had to endure to get his copy? Did it live up to all the time Dave and Ian put into playing it? The sheer rage Tyler experienced trying to punch through the castle’s many monster, was that a cost worth paying? Come see, we take a pretty deep dive into Nosferatu. ALL HAIL THE RANDOMIZER! OR NOT SO MUCH HAIL THE RANDOMIZER!

Ep. 605 – SOS / Septentrion

The gift from the Randomizer this week is, the fantastic alluring title of SOS / Septentrion (if you had it overseas). It could have used a much better title but we will get to that later. We try some Easter snacks, talk about cats and how to rank them compared to other cats that we have had and lots of other stuff. This game is based on a movie that is based on a book, so we talk The Poseidon Adventures that Dave watched to prepare. We had a good time with some serious opinions on this game, come check it out!

Ep. 557 – No Escape

We thought it was a taunt by the Randomizer at first, but it turns out there is an SNES game based on a movie by the same name “No Escape”. Well, apparently this movie was quite the flop but it was not without its fans. One of those fans is our beloved Sandwich Pope Phil, so we had to bring him on. We recount the movie, and the game but we really get into a deep discussion of Wild Hogs. Enjoy!

Ep. 539 – Prince of Persia

Prince of Persia

Tyler lifted his head from his Donny Jeffcoat signed bat, uttering his final word of prayer to the Randomizer. “C…tic….Pl….er.” the Randomizer whispered. “What? Celtic Pliers? What do you wish of us, Randomizer?” Tyler screamed into the void. “Cine…ic….Plat…er.” the Randomizer replied. Strength growing in its voice. “You don’t mean? Please. No.” Tyler whimpered in the night. “CINEMATIC PLATFORMER! PRINCE OF PERSIA!” The Randomizer howled with malice! So this week Tyler and Dave tackled Prince of Persia for the SNES. But its not as bleak at the Randomizer likely intended it to be. We talk DOS, Aladdin, take a quiz and do some real talk about Prince of Persia. Enjoy!

Ep. 519 – Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine - Crossroads of Time

Hello Internet, and welcome to the backdoor pilot for “Borg Are Fortnite”, a Star Trek podcast hosted by Captain Gun Nerd Jon and Wizened Sage Ian. (And you thought we were going to talk about Star Trek: Deep Space Nine – Crossroads of Time for the SNES). Okay, we do talk about the cinematic platformer a little bit, but we mainly talk about Deep Space Nine and Star Trek in general. As if that’s not enough, we also open a package from Mastermold Mike, read a postcard from Matt, and take a quiz from Ross Rachel Green.

Ep. 165 – LIMBO

LIMBO Title Screen

Eventually has come again, TADPOG Nation. On this glorious Monday we take on the Five Star Review request of Lord Mike of Purdue with the indie game LIMBO. This might be an odd one because we run the gamut with stories and ideas about the game. You want semi serious religious talk about Purgatory, Hell and various denominations? We’ve got that covered. Our resident expert on Kirby and Horror, Nicole Nance joins us to talk about the game, discuss religion and take some calls.
