Wizened Sage Ian returns to the podcast to guest host much like Master Higgins returns to Super Adventure Island II! Things are a little different in the second Adventure Island on the SNES, which is appropriately named Super Adventure Island II. This game is a little bit of a departure from the series (we’ll get into that in this episode), and it’s very similar to another classic retro game (we’ll get into that too). Come dock your raft for a little bit and listen.
Super Adventure Island. It’s like Adventure Island but super. No, really. Normally we do games from the Randomzier but by means of Epic Artisanal Podcast Magic to temporarily seal away it away so we could do some games we want to try out. Come sit awhile and listen!
The year is 2030 and we’re talking about the hottest thing in current sports, Bill Laimbeer’s Combat Basketball. Just to let you know what you’re in for, we originally both thought this game was called Bill Laimbeer’s College Basketball. Honestly, we didn’t even know if Bill Laimbeer was an actual person or not, so Jacob York (of wolf fighting fame) sets us straight.
Fresh off the presses Original Flavor Wednesday, TADPOG Nation. Now we’re two spots into Dorkly’s Top 25 N64 Games with their 24th ranked game, Bomberman 64. We had to bring on our Bomberman Sweetheart couple, Josh and Nicole Nance for the episode. We know you like Nicole and that works out since she basically be a Wednesday staple for this list. We have tales of random men in the woods and Halloween costumes. We also read from a yearbook and talk about babysitters. Oh, and Bomberman 64.
