Ep. 709 – Millennium Falco vs The World Session Twenty Six (A D&D Actual Play)

It ends where is begins, with Millennium Falco vs. the World! We are in the end game now, so it’s more like Millennium Falco vs. The Finale Part 1. The day is finally here, after collecting all the sounds and meeting all of Dane’s qualification – the band is listed now in the Top Four to compete in the “Battle of the Gates” in St. Louis. The band heads out that way and runs into the some old friends…for the last time. They meet a fan in the green room then go visit a very special green room? This one is pretty action packed with a big ending, so please come sit awhile and listen to Millennium Falco vs. The World!

Ep. 708 – Brandish

We’re back to a game and this time it’s Brandish! Heard of it? Maybe? We certainly had not. It’s got some pretty cool box art, do you think that translates into the game play? Check us out and see but before that we catch up on all the stuff that has been going on while we have been recording sessions of the Scott Pilgrim inspired D&D game. We talk about all the anime that Ian is indulging in, what media Dave has been enjoying, and how many papers that Tyler has been having to write. There is even a very special package at the end where we sample all sorts of stuff sent to us by Mr. Puzzles himself, Backlog Banisher Dane! So come sit awhile and listen to us babble about Brandish!

Ep. 707 – Pause on Backwards vs The World Session Twenty Five (A D&D Actual Play)

pause on backwards

Pause on Backwards vs The World! The band returns again this week (it’s a shorter episode, we had to double up AND this is the last regular episode before we hit the Finale) and settles some scores. Benji heads to woods to see about freeing this mantle of power from the claws of Malar, Lem gets some valuable DVD-Rs, Kenny finds out he has a very special skill, and Liz get a very very powerful weapon in her hands (in the DM’s retrospective opinion). Lots of time gets spent reading books! LeVar Burton is pleased! Loose ends are tied up and we prepare to go into the two part finale, so come sit awhile and listen.

Ep. 704 – Roasted Garlic and Blood vs The World Session Twenty Two (A D&D Actual Play)

Roasted Garlic and Blood vs The World! We’ve back with the first episode of the end game run of our 5e Scott Pilgrim inspired game. The band hit the ground running by taking a short rest in the Turtle Van and planning their attack and defense against the forces circling in on the Irvin Cobb Hotel. So this episode has it all – a large black wolf, a vampire zombie older brother, the reveal of where all the blight goo is coming from, the reveal of Mr. London’s anchor, a blend of Bluegrass and Meringue, and a fight around a dogwood tree blessed by the ghost of the man who hosted the 7th Academy Awards. So please, come sit awhile and listen to Roasted Garlic and Blood vs The World!

Ep. 703 – Izzy’s Quest for the Olympic Rings

“Izzy’s Quest for the Olympic Rings”, said the Randomizer, cold and indifferent as always. “Would you punish us so harshly for playing Dungeons & Dragons sometimes?” Ian snarked. The Randomized smiled it’s blackened grin in return. “Go and embrace the controversial torch mascot from the 1996 games in Atlanta, my friends. May its slippery and everchanging form be of comfort to you all on your journey.”

Yep, it’s that sort of game. But we get to talk anime, movies, and discuss what our last meals would be, at least. Come sit awhile and listen, Derek. To this, our dark episode of Izzy’s Quest for the Olympic Rings.
