Ep. 737 – Cliffhanger

In the immortal words of Cliffhanger, “Hang on for your life!”. That’s right, pack your gear because we’re headed on a journey through the icy peaks of Cliffhanger for the Super Nintendo. This notoriously “bad video game”, based on the action film of the same name, was developed by Malibu Interactive and published by Sony Imagesoft in 1993. As we venture into the game and the movie it’s based on, get ready for a rollercoaster of discussions and nostalgia. We promise there’s a draft in this episode.

Ep. 736 – Demolition Man

Demolition Man explodes onto TADPOG in our SNES Stallone Series. We keep our movie game standard and watch the movie so we can discuss it and compare it to the game, so if you love Demolition Man the movie, this is the episode for you. Even more so if you love the reunions of TADPOG I.T. since Jon Turley returns to the show! Dave and Ian are longtime fans of the movie and Tyler watches it for the first time though a modern day lens. There is a very appropriate draft. And plenty of game talk. Lots of movie and game talk, some please come sit awhile and listen to all things Demolition Man!

The Itchy & Scratchy Game is here and concludes our SNES Simpsons Saga! None of us had ever heard of or experienced this game in any way so it was brand new territory for all of us. But before we talk all about Itchy trying to kill Scratchy, we visit the Horror Hole, chat about some “Anime I?”, the new sauces at McDonald’s, and even more. So please, come sit awhile and listen to fight. And bite. And fight, and bite…and fight over the wonderful world of The Itchy & Scratchy Game.

The we hit of Ian’s Horror Hole and have a little “Anime I?” before we do a very thematic draft and roll into our real feelings about this game as part of our SNES Simpsons Saga. Ep. 733 – The Simpsons: Bart’s Nightmare

Bart’s Nightmare has arrived on TADPOG shores, officially cementing our TADPOG Simpson Series where will cover all the SNES Simpsons games, back to back to back to back. To Tyler’s amusement, we dive into Bart’s Nightmare this week. We update you our Sea of Stars progress. Dave gets back into Phasmophobia. Ian loves The Exorcist. Tyler had stove drama. There is a food related draft. We end up jumping into the homework page of insanity that is this game. So please join us for a conversation on Bart’s Nightmare.

Ep. 7312 – Krusty’s Super Fun House

Krusty’s Super Fun House has finally made it’s way to the TADPOG shores. Did it come courtesy of the Randomizer? No, we totally forgot to do that. What would have been a good game to fit into our Sea of Stars playing? This one. Tyler and Ian have some history with this game, while Dave does not. Where does this fit in the pantheon of all The Simpsons games? We do a pretty deep dive to find out. We talk some television, make a long draft, talk a lot about Mortal Kombat, buying some Famicom games and more. So please, come sit awhile and listen to us eventually talk about Krusty’s Super Fun House.

Ep. 731 – One Calls

One Calls! That’s right. We take exactly 1 call. Is it particularly long and cucumbersome (I realize) call? Does it take us deep into our souls and yield the fruit of beautiful revealing conversation? Or do we go really long on a draft we enjoyed and only had time to take a single call? You should listen and find out. We may technically take 2 calls but that first call is something totally different. How is it different? Why is it different? You’ll have to sit awhile and listen to find out. One Calls.

Ep. 730 – Sea of Stars

Sea of Stars has finally arrived! It hasn’t been out long and we have had several requests already to talk about it so here we are! Don’t worry, this one is spoiler free. All three of us took the dive into this game and discuss it’s mechanics and layout in this episode, we wanted it to be spoiler free so nothing about the story is brought up – if you haven’t played yet, feel free to listen! We do something a little bit different that our normal draft, we go back into Ian’s Horror Hole, the latest anime is brought up and then we finish it all up with some Sea of Stars content. There may be more, but we definitely all want to play more! So please, sit awhile and listen.
