Ep. 747 – Clue

Clue is here! We know the SNES game isn’t really based off the movie but it’s a really great excuse to also rewatch the Tim Curry classic since there may not be a huge amount to say about an SNES game based off a board game that plays…very much like a board game. So please come hang out with us while we talk some TV shows, FFXIV expansions, some Dark Tower, do a board game draft AND talk a whole lot about Clue the movie. And as much as the SNES game as possible. Clue!

Ep. 746 – The Blues Brothers

The Blues Brothers! It’s an 90s Super Nintendo game based off an 80s movie based on a 70s SNL skit, that is how you know it’s quality stuff and totally appropriate to all the material its based on. But first we must discuss the Blues Brothers movie at length, and even before that we draft out our personal top tens of SNL skits. We also talk various Jacks in media, washing machine woes and more. So please, sit awhile and listen to The Blues Brothers!

Ep. 744 – Dirty Harry

Dirty Harry asks us just how lucky we feeling playing his NES game this week on TADPOG. This week may not get us any closer to finishing our SNES list but it’s a good continuation of our “R Rated Moves turned into video games” series. Yes, it’s another series. We love them. Get used to it. Everything is a series. But before we do a deep dive into the first Dirty Harry movie and the NES game – we talk Overwatch 2. Ian has a particularly good match. We briefly visit The Horror Hole, discuss the latest offerings of Eddie Murphy, hit up The Dark Tower, and do a little Christmas themed draft. So please, come get dirty with us. Dirty Harry. If you feel lucky. Punk.

Ep. 740 – Last Action Hero

Last Action Hero completes our SNES Schwarzenegger Series and we come full loaded to discuss what we thought not just about the game but also the movie – this is one Ian hadn’t even seen but Tyler has, that’s the very first time that has ever happened. But even better than all things Last Action Hero – Dave has started The Dark Tower series. So there is plenty of Dark Tower talk along with our theme. So if you enjoy any of it, please sit awhile and listen to our episode over Last Action Hero!

Judge Dredd has come to conclude our Stallonesgiving series in style. We have now all seen Judge Dredd and give our very detailed feelings on both the movie and the game. We also talk about the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie, we take a quick dip into “Anime I?” territory, look at Warthunder, Treehouse of Horror, and some other horror hole related things. So, if you love the movie talk along with the game talk, especially if it Sylvester Stallone flavored, well, we have quite the episode for you in Judge Dredd. Come sit awhile and listen!

Ep. 737 – Cliffhanger

In the immortal words of Cliffhanger, “Hang on for your life!”. That’s right, pack your gear because we’re headed on a journey through the icy peaks of Cliffhanger for the Super Nintendo. This notoriously “bad video game”, based on the action film of the same name, was developed by Malibu Interactive and published by Sony Imagesoft in 1993. As we venture into the game and the movie it’s based on, get ready for a rollercoaster of discussions and nostalgia. We promise there’s a draft in this episode.

Ep. 736 – Demolition Man

Demolition Man explodes onto TADPOG in our SNES Stallone Series. We keep our movie game standard and watch the movie so we can discuss it and compare it to the game, so if you love Demolition Man the movie, this is the episode for you. Even more so if you love the reunions of TADPOG I.T. since Jon Turley returns to the show! Dave and Ian are longtime fans of the movie and Tyler watches it for the first time though a modern day lens. There is a very appropriate draft. And plenty of game talk. Lots of movie and game talk, some please come sit awhile and listen to all things Demolition Man!
