It’s been a long time since we’ve talked about a Game Boy Color game on the podcast…some might say it’s been ages! (Pause for laughter). Anyway, we’re actually talking about two Game Boy Color games from a little-known indie series called The Legend of Zelda (you probably haven’t heard of it). Yes, that’s right. We’re talking about Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages, each developed by Flagship (Capcom) and published by Nintendo in 2001. We also open a package from Trashbear Joe Willard, a wedding invitation, and a package from Mastermold Mike. We take some voicemail, we bestow a new title and we struggle to come up with a kangaroo cereal mascot.

Back on Episode 239 we opened a package mailed to us by “Jon from Louisiana”. Inside that package, we found a bunch of great stuff (wonderful toys). We also found Street Fighter: The Movie for Sega Saturn. We finally have a Sega Saturn to play it on (thank you, Ryan) so it’s time to subject ourselves to the pain. There’s a lot of game talk on this episode; we also open a package from New Drew and we take a few calls.

By order of The Friendship Pact and Duck Law, Tyler is honor-bound to stop playing awful games for at least one episode so Dave can get one fresh breath of air before plunging back into the dark waters of mediocre video games. The palate cleanser of choice? DuckTales for the NES and DuckTales: Remastered. That’s right: just two old guys talking about naughty ducks. We drink margaritas, talk about Deadpool, and figure out who would win in a fight between Darkwing Duck and Gizmoduck.

All of our faithful listeners are really into the fast food talk and brands of garbage food, yes? Good. We keep going with our little mini-series of games made by food and beverage corporations with that Domino’s classic, Yo! Noid. Since pizza, especially from Domino’s, is the most romantic food there is we just had to have on TADPOG’s Sweethearts Josh and Nicole Nance. We discuss issues with our various landlords over the years, the slightly bizarre story behind our featured games, take some calls and get deep about the raccoon.

This week TADPOG was supposed to do a very lengthy RPG but didn’t quite finish so we decided to bring you another game that was the opposite of the lengthy RPG with The California Raisins: The Grape Escape. Surprise, we bring in our very first fan Exalted Lord Mike of Perdue (known as Micah Perdue in a few circles) to host and just list off all sorts of information about this game. And there is a quiz. It’s hard to believe we haven’t talked about a Resident Evil game yet. It’s such an undertaking that we pulled in Jacob (of Wolf Fighting fame) and Josh (of TADPOG’s Sweetheart fame) to help us with Resident Evil 2 — Dorkly’s 23rd ranked N64 game.
