Ep. 610 – Mazin Saga Mutant Fighter

Mazin Saga Mutant Fighter

Well, it has “been a week”. With absolutely insane work schedules, Mothers Day events, graduations, and much much more, we were not able to get together this week to record something new new, but we didn’t want to skip a week. So…we’re opening The Patreon Vault to bring you an excellent episode that we recorded with one Ross Rachel Green from Across the Pond (you know, from the SNES quizzes on the show). We recorded this bonus episode back when we were doing bounties, and Ross put a bounty on a game that we hadn’t really heard of previously: Mazin Saga Mutant Fighter for the Sega Genesis, a game that tries to mash up a beat ’em up with a fighting game.

Important Facts About This Episode:
1. We originally recorded this back in October 2020.
2. We talk about giant feet a lot.
3. We would be without an episode today if it were not for our lovely Patreon donors. We appreciate the support and we thank you very much.

Ep. 591 – X-Men 2: Clone Wars

X-Men 2: Clone Wars

The Randomizer tried to throw us X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse which we have already done an episode on, so we countered with a game we were actually interested in: X-Men 2: Clone Wars for the Sega Genesis. IT’S OUR 8th ANNIVERSARY! So we are joined by Brandon of Axelay fame, and his girlfriend Cheryl of Brandon fame, to celebrate. This was a planned thing and not by total coincidence. So gather around and listen to traveling tales, stories of the past, a great package, some X-Men talk, and much more!

Ep. 410 – Super Street Fighter II

Super Street Fighter 2

We’re back on the Digital Trends list this week—which can only mean one thing—it’s time for Super Street Fighter II for the Sega Genesis. We talk about the game for a bit, but more importantly, we try a Marmite grilled cheese sandwich. We also open a listener package, pee in Swift the fox’s mouth, and brainstorm some charity stream ideas.  Continue reading

Ep. 370 – Disney’s Aladdin (Genesis)

Aladdin

On this episode we’re finally talking about Aladdin for the Sega Genesis. Which version is better? The Sega Genesis version or the SNES version? Find out! We open a package from Shadowrunner Kody Stinson. We also talk about the new Gilmore Girls, we read a postcard from Austin, TX and take some listener voicemails and text messages. Continue reading

Ep. 350 – Primal Rage

Primal Rage

Wizened Sage Ian Chandler joins us for our Milestone 350th Episode! We usher in our next 350 episodes by talking about the seven gods battling for supremacy of new Urth. That’s right…we’re talking about Primal Rage for the Sega Genesis. We also talk about the state of the podcast a little bit. There may or may not be a tiny Blizzard vs McFlurry debate.

Ep. 327 – Ecco the Dolphin

EccoTheDolphin

As we continue our play through of Digital Trend’s Best Sega Genesis games, we come to the 23rd game on the list — Ecco the Dolphin. Did you know this game was inspired by LSD? Yeah, it totally was! In addition to talking about the game: Dave shares embarrassing dolphin stories from his youth, we learn about true dolphin lovers, and in a massively controversial move…shun the last two Matrix movies (audible gasp)!
