Just two guys hosting a good ol’ fashioned All Call-In Show. Nicole might be here, but if she is, she’s being very quiet. This is an unprepared recording of TADPOG where we talk about our fears and then take some calls. As always, we are jaded and express our fears about things we don’t understand. Most importantly, a TADPOG Nation/Saved by the Bell parallel is drawn for the first time (thanks, Sam!). Also, something about chicken parmesan.
TADPOG Nation, we finally have some breathing room in our personal lives so we can resume our Ready Player One Series with the Atari 2600 game, Adventure. So, its an old game. Its a short game. We do our best. We may also talk about some classic Superman television, how to train yourself to hide pornography and Tyler tells another Gatsby tale. We take some calls and some texts. Please enjoy and help up figure out this FishLipsJay and Cody drama.
TADPOG Nation, the time has come again for SIDEPOG this fine Monday. We’ve been so busy with Ready Player One that we haven’t gotten to go through our call log. Your calls are very important so we needed to have a whole episode to get through most of them. Do you like gross stories along with answering calls? Tyler is a little ashamed of his intro since he believes to be very gross as are the others. So we’re just letting you know what you’re in for with the episode. It has jokes, it has gross intros, you know, just gross stories and phone calls. You take the gross, the really gross and have a good time. Also, in effort to bring all the Holland clan on TADPOG, Ryan Holland joins us on this episode and does not disappoint.
Hey TADPOG Nation. If you’re a regular listener you’ll know there has been quite the heated contest for who will guest host more in the course of TADPOG – Josh Nance of Uniracers Fame or Nicole Nance of Kirby fame? Spoilers, Nicole overcomes Josh in this episode by hosting a deep discussion over Alan Wake. We talk about liquor and going to alternative school along with some points about if Alan Wake is a quality game or not.
We thought you, citizens of the TADPOG Nation, would enjoy another installment of our “better know a guest host” series with an interview with Taryn. We talk about games but mostly her exploits as a restaurant manager, the bitter politics of high school, saying goodbye and the worst break-up and some stuff about strippers. She’s 95% an open book so we think you’ll enjoy this one if you like hearing a girl curse and tell stories.
MONDAY. TADPOG. GAMES THAT ARE NOT ON IGN’S TOP 100 SNES GAMES. This week, my favorite TADPOG Nation, we’re breaking the very broly game of Broforce. We’ll just be talking about bros. Just games and bros. You take the games, you take the bros and have good time. One of our dearest bros, Josh Nance (of Uniracer’s fame), joins us for this one. We talk about our mothers and any possible anger issues they might have, a discussion and Kickstarter and early buy in games, and even take some calls from other TADPOG bros. You might enjoy it. You might not. We hope you do, bro.
It’s an even more special episode of TADPOG SIDEPOG today. After around 60 weeks of waiting we’re teaming up with The Second Breakfast Podcast for another crossover. This time they picked the movie and the game. They get to watch The Goonies and we had to play The Goonies II for the NES. Other than the movie and this totally appropriate and probably canonical game, we talk about other games we’ve been playing, how to impress all the cool kids at Church Camp, how to get your own free company and just how good Weird Al really is for music.
For this TADPOG SIDEPOG we take a five star request from mkelso27 and take a crack at the indie side scrolled zombie slaughterfest, Dead Pixels. Don’t worry, we do actually talk about the game but we also take a few moments to discuss the smell of garlic, the fabled Olive Garden Culinary School with its emphasis on the breadstick arts, who Lauchpad McQuack works for and why and the only real way to listen to Spanish guitar.
