Well, here is our 2nd part of Final Fantasy IV: The After Years. Spoilers, only one person on the podcast enjoyed it so we discussed it and went off the rails for some good old fashioned tangents. It was just the perfect way to spend time with #moremiller Shawn Miller and, for the first time on a main feed episode, Casey of Quincy of Piggy Palace fame! Please, come sit awhile and listen.
Put your party flag up because this week we are talking about Final Fantasy XI, the 2002 MMORPG by Square. We have wanted to do an episode on this game for a long time and we are joined by our resident MMOlogist, Shawn Miller of #MoreMiller fame. All three of us played Final Fantasy XI at its height and in this episode we barely scratch the surface of this immense game, but we do have a lot of fun reminiscing about our time spent in Vana’diel. We open a new package full of treats from listeners Bunny and Kira. We tell stories about our gross early apartments. Dave contributes to the stray cat population epidemic. And perhaps most notable for TADPOG Lore Masters, He Who Shall Not Be Named…is named. We had so much fun recording this one that we would like to continue it some day; we hope you enjoy. We are getting so close to the end, TADPOG Nation. Today, on this glorious Wednesday, we reach Part 1 of our talk about IGN’s #2 ranked SNES game Chrono Trigger. We have to have TADPOG’s sweetheart couple, Josh and Nicole Nance, on for the occasion. We discuss the various types of roommates, the various types of coworkers you will encounter and our own plethora of experiences with Chrono Trigger.
The week is starting again, Garfield may not be pleased but we hope you are for Monday’s TADPOG SIDEPOG. This week we’re doing a game we’ve mentioned several times — Bravely Default, as many hours have been put into by both hosts. We give you a spoiler warning now because we have strong opinions about the game and we have to spoil some things to discuss them. But we do also bring up foolish trade decisions, the blue skin people and so SO much Murphy Brown.
