The more I hear y’all shit on stealth games, the more I want to replay the olde Thief series from looking glass/ion/eidos/whatever. After all, there’s supposed to be a sequel coming out next year, and it’s totally not vaporware at all.
Mark of the Ninja is a great stealth game, check it out if you haven’t yet!
I’ve listened to variety of episodes so far and this is by far my favorite episode so far.
I think it also DEMANDS that there be an Ultimate version or maybe a part 2 of this called “Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 – Ultimate Edition” because listening to you guys talk about the characters and the story was awesome. You really nailed how many people from our generation feel looking back at this game. Some of the characters and backstory seem pretty ridiculous, but some of it, I have to admit, still seems pretty damn cool and screams out to the late 90s kid in me.
What I would like to see in the Ultimate Edition of this episode (because FANS DEMANDED IT)
– A Tyler/Dave evaluation of every single character, talking about their coolness, playability and especially the backstories for the characters. Your guys comments on the characters were hilarious!!! (I actually though Stryker was a badass character and I still like him though, and Kabal as well)
– Tyler and Dave’s separate rankings of the top 5 character endings in this game
– Tyler and Dave’s separate rankings of your top 5 favorite characters to use
– Tyler and Dave’s separate rankings of the top 5 fatalities in the game
I’m glad you talked about some trivia in this episode such as the missing Sheeva (who I also liked) from UMK3, I had no idea about this and was shocked, and I’m glad you brought it up. It would be great to hear even more trivia as well!! References to the cartoon, the TV shows / webseries would be awesome as well.
