On this episode of TADPOG, we end our 208 episode streak of not featuring a rhythm game on the show. Seriously, we’ve featured more sports games on this show than rhythm games. Sports games. Rhythm Master Paul Corn and Soul Sister Yarn Sorceress Chandra join us to talk about Gitaroo Man, the cult-classic rhythm game for the PlayStation 2.
Just two guys hosting a good ol’ fashioned All Call-In Show. Nicole might be here, but if she is, she’s being very quiet. This is an unprepared recording of TADPOG where we talk about our fears and then take some calls. As always, we are jaded and express our fears about things we don’t understand. Most importantly, a TADPOG Nation/Saved by the Bell parallel is drawn for the first time (thanks, Sam!). Also, something about chicken parmesan.
It’s another All Call-In show! Virginity Thief Taryn Landon (now bespectacled) returns to TADPOG to take calls and texts with us. We try to provide “rapid fire answers”. You would think we could handle that. There are Thanksgiving intro stories but we totally didn’t record this around Thanksgiving. It’s podcast time-travel magic. Don’t think about it too much. Enjoy!
It’s Monday, TADPOG Nation. Remember on Mondays we let anything go? Well, we’re fulfilling the Five Star request of GuyMeirow and talking about board games with Grand Maester Wiley Ammons and Correspondent Laura Ammons. We talk about games. Lots of games. Strategy, Quiz, Adventure, Competitive, Card….all things that can be played on a table top with some friends. Do you like small hamburgers? We talk about very small hamburgers too. Wiley and Laura are pretty great people and Tyler’s daughter’s godparents. Enjoy.
TADPOG Nation, we finally have some breathing room in our personal lives so we can resume our Ready Player One Series with the Atari 2600 game, Adventure. So, its an old game. Its a short game. We do our best. We may also talk about some classic Superman television, how to train yourself to hide pornography and Tyler tells another Gatsby tale. We take some calls and some texts. Please enjoy and help up figure out this FishLipsJay and Cody drama.
TADPOG Nation, the time has come again for SIDEPOG this fine Monday. We’ve been so busy with Ready Player One that we haven’t gotten to go through our call log. Your calls are very important so we needed to have a whole episode to get through most of them. Do you like gross stories along with answering calls? Tyler is a little ashamed of his intro since he believes to be very gross as are the others. So we’re just letting you know what you’re in for with the episode. It has jokes, it has gross intros, you know, just gross stories and phone calls. You take the gross, the really gross and have a good time. Also, in effort to bring all the Holland clan on TADPOG, Ryan Holland joins us on this episode and does not disappoint.
It’s Monday TADPOG Nation so we continue on with our Ready Player One Series. This week we’re playing the original text based adventure, Zork. This episode is pretty different so we can tell you this right away- we play this game for the first time as we record. So no regular format this week, we just stumble through a game that’s new to us. We needed stumbling partners so we brought is Josh of Uniracers fame and Nicole of Kirby fame. We very much want to hear what you think about this episode so please drop us a Tweet, Facebook message, Email, Five Star Written iTunes review, whatever.
On this episode of TADPOG Podcast, we continue our conversation about games from the book Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. Today’s game is truly a classic and very near and dear to Dave and guest-host Jason Ison (of Rygar fame). Stories are told. There’s a regretful recall, a woman with no hands and a fun thing to do with all those markers you have lying around.
