It’s a bug hunt. Jacob York (of wolf fighting fame), joins Dave on this episode to discuss Into the Breach, the turn-based strategy game by Subset Games. Outside of game discussion, there are many references to the Funky Kong religion which was founded on last week’s episode. We also talk about Toad’s anatomy a little bit, and of course we make plans to purchase GamePro.
Merry (day after) Christmas! Now that we have severely dated this episode—Rhythm Master Paul Corn and Soul Sister Yarn Sorceress Chandra join us on this one to talk about Doki Doki Literature Club by Dan Salvato. It’s a free visual novel released on Windows, Mac, and Linux. We don’t typically do this but…we’re going to show our hand here in the written post and say that this visual novel is very good and it is worth experiencing. We wrap things up by responding to listener voicemails. Continue reading →
This week’s offering straight off the Eventually List, TADPOG Nation, is probably the most recent game we have done to date. Since we do the whole “retro” thing it would have to be a special game for us to talk about something so recent and it truly is – Shovel Knight. We brought in our resident expert on all things relating to shovelry, Ramon Castillo of Countdown’s Corner fame. We talk about totally striking out with girls, saying the wrong things to girls and doing things with girls that infuriate your father. Oh and some discussion of all things Shovel Knight.
Eventually has come again, TADPOG Nation. On this glorious Monday we take on the Five Star Review request of Lord Mike of Purdue with the indie game LIMBO. This might be an odd one because we run the gamut with stories and ideas about the game. You want semi serious religious talk about Purgatory, Hell and various denominations? We’ve got that covered. Our resident expert on Kirby and Horror, Nicole Nance joins us to talk about the game, discuss religion and take some calls.
