Brandon (of Axelay fame) joins Shock Value and Dave to help sort through a backlog of voicemails and text messages from our amazing listeners. This episode offers the hardcore Ray Stevens talk you could ever want in a podcast about video games! We also touch on Mechroboticon, The Legion of Lucifer, Weed Needles, and remember that birds are the worst.
This week we scale five floors of the Devil’s Temple and punch our way through hoards of vest-wearing minions in order to talk about Kung Fu, the 1984 side-scrolling beat ’em up for the NES. We also talk about Tyler’s birthday, Jerry Stiller (of course), marriage, and bidets. We open a package from Sandwich Pope Phil and we play a few listener voicemails. Continue reading →
Start ropics? Startropical Capricorn? STARTROPICS! That’s what we are doing for this week’s rundown of the games on the NES Classic, as brought to you by Mastermold Mike. Are you super thirsty for all that StarTropic goodness? Well, don’t be. It is a very long walk through hobos asking for money and Brandon of Axelay fame calling you a skank before we get there. Really, we do talk about the game but not for about 40 minutes. So don’t say we didn’t warn you, but it’s totally worth it to take that journey with us. Continue reading →
Just two guys hosting a good ol’ fashioned All Call-In Show. Nicole might be here, but if she is, she’s being very quiet. This is an unprepared recording of TADPOG where we talk about our fears and then take some calls. As always, we are jaded and express our fears about things we don’t understand. Most importantly, a TADPOG Nation/Saved by the Bell parallel is drawn for the first time (thanks, Sam!). Also, something about chicken parmesan.
TADPOG Nation, this is a pretty big week. Since’s its Original Flavor Wednesday we’re talking about IGN’s #8th ranked game, Super Mario Kart. This is the only game I hear such universal praise for across the TADPOG Nation so I hope we do it justice. Just to make sure we bring on Brandon Eaves of Axelay fame and The Best Burger bottom Jon Turley to help us break it down and discuss the show. We may also talk about helping friends during break ups, the best job and a surprising amount about RC Pro Am.
We thought you, citizens of the TADPOG Nation, would enjoy another installment of our “better know a guest host” series with an interview with Taryn. We talk about games but mostly her exploits as a restaurant manager, the bitter politics of high school, saying goodbye and the worst break-up and some stuff about strippers. She’s 95% an open book so we think you’ll enjoy this one if you like hearing a girl curse and tell stories.
